About this project
Bird Eye Sri Lanka is a personal, non-commercial portfolio experiment in interactive UI design, Blender modelling, 3D environments and browser-based visualisation.
This site has no advertising, no sales, no sponsorship and no donations, and it earns no income of any kind.
Landmarks and cultural sites
The scenes show real places in Sri Lanka: Sigiriya, Ruwanwelisaya, Kubalwela Mahamewna Asapuwa, Sri Pada (Adam's Peak), the Nine Arch Bridge, the Colombo Lotus Tower (Nelum Kuluna) and the Independence Memorial Hall at Independence Square, Colombo.
- Every scene is a stylised artistic interpretation made for this project. Two of the buildings are adapted from third-party 3D models, which are credited below.
- The scenes are not accurate, official or complete representations of these places, and should not be used for study, navigation or planning.
- This project is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any government body, heritage authority, religious institution, or the owners or operators of any place shown. Place names are used only to identify the places.
- Some of these places are sacred. They are shown with respect, and never in a commercial, mocking or disrespectful way.
References and credits
Reference information about how these places look was gathered from publicly available sources, including freely licensed photographs on Wikimedia Commons, used to study shape and proportion. No third-party photographs or videos are reproduced on this site. The third-party models, data and materials that are part of the scenes are credited here.
